Loveless is a story about the cycle of abuse and Soubi is both a victim and perpetrator of abuse and grooming. Soubi himself is a victim of CSA, sexual torture, and physical, psychological, and emotional abuse. He views himself as nothing but an object that is meant to be used. Due to this, he is incredibly awful to Ritsuka, a 12 year old boy tasked to "own Soubi" so Soubi perpetrates grooming with Ritsuka. While Soubi most likely would never discuss these things or truly act out any of the stuff he does with Ritsuka on anybody else, it's hard not to involve it in his character.
